The Entity
VigilanceTech.com is a business and technical consulting practice. It operates as a DBA (doing business as) of a general partnership — a small, hard-working firm built to bring senior-level strategy, regulatory, and engineering capability directly to clients without the overhead of a large agency.
The partnership structure keeps decision-making fast and accountable. The partners are hands-on: they scope the work, do the analysis, and stay with the engagement through delivery. That is the model the firm has run since it was established in 1984, when it began operating under the name “The Missing Link” before consolidating as VigilanceTech.com.
What We Do
We sit at the intersection of three disciplines that most shops keep separate:
- Business & Strategy — investor relations, incentive structures, project management, business plans, and the kind of direct, plain-spoken advising that moves a company from idea to execution.
- Regulatory & Law — administrative law, government relations, type approvals, and compliance work where the rules are dense and the stakes are real.
- Advanced Digital Systems — embedded firmware, microassembler and language environments, data mining and search architectures, and the unglamorous integration work that makes the other two actually run.
The value is in the overlap. A regulatory problem that needs a custom software tool. A business case that hinges on a technology most people have never heard of. That is the lane VigilanceTech.com occupies, and it is a narrow one by design.
How We Engage
Engagements are scoped to the client, not to a menu. Some are short technical builds — a sales and inventory platform, a truck-scaling and fuels-lab system, a microassembler. Others are longer strategic or regulatory efforts where we act as outside counsel-adjacent advisors: helping choose where to focus, building the tailored solution, and staying until it is operating.
We have worked with clients ranging from a closet-sized office that grew into a multi-million-dollar business to public utilities and corporate claims operations. The common thread is that they needed someone who could hold the business, legal, and technical threads at the same time.
Partnership & DBA Notes
As a DBA of a general partnership, VigilanceTech.com is the public-facing name under which the partners conduct consulting business. The general partnership itself carries the liability and contractual relationship; the DBA is the brand clients see. This is deliberate: it keeps the operation lean, the paperwork minimal, and the principals directly responsible to the people they serve.
For engagements requiring formal entity documentation, contracts are executed in the partnership’s name with VigilanceTech.com identified as the DBA. The firm is open to structuring specific project work — including equity or technology partnerships — where the innovation and the relationship warrant it.
